In my martial arts recreation center program, I am often asked by parents, “Can I train with my child?” Well, this question will be answered differently in different schools. In this post, I will tell you the things to consider as a parent, and the things that the school’s instructor will consider while providing you with an answer to this question.
For many, it makes sense for the parent who often remains to watch the lesson, to use their time wisely and get involved by asking to join the class. I can’t tell you how many of the parents that I have trained over the years, joined our classes simply by asking this question. But there are many issues that need to be considered with this seemingly simple question.
